Tonga Team report

Matt Ross, Rachel Munn and Beth Tetlow (from Northcross church) and Davina William (NZone/ShineTV) joined team leaders Andrew & Margaret in Tonga for a week of outreach in 11 schools across the main islands of Ha’apai.  Before flying from Tongatapu to Ha’apai - on a DC3 aircraft! - we led Bible in Schools classes at Tonga Side school and joined with our fellow Tongan team members (Theresa, Ps ‘Ofa, Mary, Jennifer, Manu and Taki) to plan and rehearse our programme.

On our return to Tongatapu, we caught up again with the people at Touliki chapel, did some face-painting and outreach at Patangata and took part in a one hour live radio broadcast.

We give all praise and glory to God for the 2-300 hundred children at Ha’apai who gave their lives to Jesus and for the teachers who asked us to pray for them, as they face daily challenges in their schools.

We were thrilled that one of the teachers, a sister at the Catholic school, also prayed to give her life to Jesus!
